Three Indigenisms through Literary and Cultural Journals and Magazines (1930-1950)

Abstract

This is a fragment of the text read at the event "Artists in dialogue, Juan Rimsa and his time", held between March 25 and 26, 2019; The third part called "Reververaciones del Titikaka" is not published, due to lack of space.

In this text I recover the resemantization proposed by Rosario Rodríguez in her doctoral thesis on Bolivian and Latin American literary indigenism: “a space of articulation that, crossing rigorous boundaries, allows us to follow the thread of those discursive manifestations where they confront, encounter, challenge, reject , they compromise heterogeneous diversities, starting from that first radical opposition between the Indian world / Western world of classical indigenism. I intend to respect the multiplicity and divergence of a non-uniform artistic sequence and not fall into the single vision of a linear process ”(2008, pp. 8-9).
