Abstract

Technology is a digital revolution that has transformed the way companies operate and individuals work. This revolution generates a significant impact on employment, creating new economic opportunities and posing challenges. It is essential to understand and analyze these aspects to adapt to the changes and take advantage of the opportunities that arise in the 21st century work landscape. Technology helps companies to be more competitive in the workplace. The Four Waves of AI, written by Klaus Schwab, Erik Brynjolfsson, Andrew McAfee, Carlota Pérez, Andrew Yang, Richard Florida, and Thomas Friedman, argue that technology drives economic change and development, and that innovation, creativity, and collaboration are fundamental to economic success in the digital age. Technology has leveled the economic playing field and transformed the way we work, live and relate. This research explores the impact of technology on labor markets, focusing on the "Kantuta" market. The study uses a mixed methods approach to explore different perspectives on technology in the labor market. Research involves collecting opinions from workers, conducting interviews, and using a quantitative method to analyze data. The interviews allow for a deeper exploration of workers' experiences and perspectives in the labor market and the opportunities arising from technology. The results of these interviews can be used to inform those interested in the implementation of technology in the labor market.
